Would it be possible for you to add a Global / Local switch to the “Notes” window.

This would basically switch between Global (like it is now) and Local, which would show only the notes contained in the currently selected file.

Even better (if you are feeling generous :)), would be to be able to assign notes to “categories”, which would enable the ability to assign notes to any category from any file on the project, and have them all organised and easy to navigate.

ie. ‘note:Timers: implement timer for npc
This would assign the note “implement timer for npc” to the category ‘Timers’

These categories could then be shown in the Notes window and all associated notes would be within that category, along with easy access to all the other “Timer” related notes I had made elsewhere and added to the category.

    Hello!
Local notes can be accessed in the local shortcuts window. Also, notice that notes are alphabetically sorted, so creating prefixes like
    Note:Todo:This and that
    Note:Todo:somethig….
Will make them appear grouped. Not in a tree, but grouped.

    Hey Ziggy,

Yeah I realised the alphabetical thing after I posted – it was me not keeping things grouped from the start of my project that has caused that problem, but I can spend an hour going through my files and updating them no problem.

The local shortcuts window I had no idea about (or obviously I wouldn’t have posted) and will save me sooo much time – brilliant, thanks :)
