When I compile to Flash I get this…
TRANS FAILED: Invalid character in flash filename: graphics/font/nAch_16.1.png.
Any idea’s ? is it the extra .? my font seems to output to three files. nAch_16.1.png,.2 and .3
Is there a way to prevent this ? or is there some other problem here.July 10, 2012 at 8:55 pm #3557
This was fixed a lot of time ago. You should render the bitmapfont using the latest editor version. To get latest editor version go here: http://www.jungleide.com/?page_id=175 (see the list of available downloads, the last one is latest version of the Fontmachine Editor)
You’ll have to provide your valid license number as the username, and your current username as the password (I know this authentication is weird but too late to change it now…)July 10, 2012 at 10:19 pm #3558
Just downloaded the latest client..
TRANS FAILED: Invalid character in flash filename: graphics/font/nAch14.1.png.
Abnormal program termination. Exit code: -1
Still the same issue, is it the module I need to update ? where is that’s download link I forget.July 10, 2012 at 10:20 pm #3540
just to be clear, running version FontMachine 184.108.40.206July 10, 2012 at 10:25 pm #3559
and just made sure I had the latest module. still same error.July 10, 2012 at 10:32 pm #3560
But the font you’re trying to use was created with an older version of the Editor. Current version does not use this filename structures: nAch14.1.png It would use nArch14_1.png instead as flash was not compatble with filenames that contained a dot. So if you have latest version of everything, you should render the font again and replace it in your data folder.July 10, 2012 at 10:49 pm #3525
Yeah thats actually what I thought it would have done, maybe I need to un-install font machine fully before putting the new one in ?
I will try that and get back to you.July 10, 2012 at 10:53 pm #3526
I don’t think you have to unistall it, just maybe rendring the font again should do it.July 10, 2012 at 10:55 pm #3527
ok mate, I un-installed the fontmachine GUI, I installed it again with the latest download, and when I make a new font, its still using a period and not an underscore.July 10, 2012 at 10:55 pm #3528
again just to be sure im using version FontMachine 220.127.116.11 (taken from File>About )July 10, 2012 at 11:04 pm #3529
No, you should be using 18.104.22.168 That’s the versio that fixed the flash thing.July 10, 2012 at 11:05 pm #3530
that version is not on the download list, the newest version on the list to download is the version I typed above.
can you provide me with a new link then.July 10, 2012 at 11:06 pm #3531
oh god nvm.. its there at the top, bellow the jungle links, never noticed it cos its hidden beneth them.
sorry mate .. downloading the version now.July 10, 2012 at 11:07 pm #3532
I’m dyslexic, stuff like that , where the links look the same, and the text is 90% jungle with that one font machine link at the bottom, thats really hard for me to notice.
anyway getting it now.July 10, 2012 at 11:08 pm #3533
Where are you trying to donwload it? Don’t look for it in the expandable “additional downloads section” (this is for legacy version of things) You can get the latest official version in the list of downloads that is NOT inside this expandable list, but above it.July 10, 2012 at 11:11 pm #3534
Ok! It should be more ergonomic… Just let me know wheter it works now or not (it should)
