Idiot question from me, but from the conversation above I get the feeling that you are actually using Jungle (beta i presume)?
Where do I download it? (Registered yesterday)
The preorder has a download link and instructions
Rememerb that after the pre-order purchase, you can download the current beta and start using it right now! (just follow order confirmation email instructions)
Monkey seem to be quite portable, it gets delivered by zip, so please could jungle be made portable. Similar to Blide Traveller :-)
Jungle is built for the .net 4 framework, so it won’t be really portable until .net 4 is spread much more. I’ll do a portable version in the future for sure, but priority now is to focus on improving intelliprompt and stability (step by step…)March 2, 2011 at 8:33 pm in reply to: FIXED: Error adding import reference for newly added project file #2751
I’m preparing a hot fix that should be available to all beta testers in some minutes… Thanks for finding this one, it has been a bit complicated to solve, but it was causing really several stability issues on regular Jungle Ide usage. Just stay tuned for a fix in about 10 minutes…
EDIT: DONE! Update available!
There is no horizontal scrollbar for the code view, so if a line of code is longer than the view you cant access it without using the keyboard (eg End key).
Baa.. so it is. Sorry thought I’d tried that!
an option to auto-correct language keywords would be nice if possible. I guess it should/could match its intended casing.
Was going to raise that one myself.March 2, 2011 at 10:50 pm in reply to: FIXED: Error adding import reference for newly added project file #2754
Confirm this process is now fixed. Nice update process!
I have noted the new file is not listed in the intellisense pop-up for Import. Will raise a new issue for that one.March 2, 2011 at 10:54 pm in reply to: FIXED: Newly added file not shown in Import intellisense list #2356
When you add a new file to the project and then attempt to add using the Import intellisense, the newly added file is not listed until you re-open the solution.
Steps to reproduce:
* Load an existing project (with at least one file already included)
* From the Solution Explorer, select Create a new file here from the Project and name it test.monkey
* Activate an existing file, and at the top (or under existing imports) type Import and press space.
The newly added file is not listed.March 2, 2011 at 11:12 pm in reply to: FIXED: Newly added file not shown in Import intellisense list #2755
I already found this, and this will be fixed for the next update (soon). To fix this, you can just reload the project OR modify something in the imported file (press Enter on a black line or something). This will arrange this until the next quick fix is sent. Stability is not really affected by this, just a cosmetic think that is going to be solved in tomorrow’s update.
But this could only work for reserved words.
I mean, one of the points of being case insensitive is:Code:Class MyClass
Local myclass := New MyClass
If the myclass is corrected to MyClass, it breaks code!
This could be applied to functions (even functions inside modules) globals, etc…
In the other hand… words such as Class or Method… this makes more sense to me.March 2, 2011 at 11:40 pm in reply to: FIXED: Error adding import reference for newly added project file #2757
I’ve seen it, thanks!March 3, 2011 at 6:35 am in reply to: FIXED: Newly added file not shown in Import intellisense list #2758
Ziggy, no probs! Thanks for taking a look.
I also miss this: auto correction for language keywords (Function, Method, Class, etc.). It looks really ugly with all the keywords lighting up, but not being the correct case :)
Any chance you could add custom book marks on the internal browser? There are several sites I visit while coding and be nice to go to these without having the type the url each time or flip between chrome and jungle.
And while I am at it.. could not a HTML5 app for example not open in a browser tab within jungle after compile?
Does not sound like a bad idea at all, but I’ll leave it for future improvements. this kind of things sound like a good candidate for a JungleIde plugin, but the whole plugin system is still being designed (not a single line of code written yet).March 3, 2011 at 11:45 pm in reply to: FIXED: Newly added file not shown in Import intellisense list #2761
Tested ok in new releaseMarch 3, 2011 at 11:49 pm in reply to: FIXED: Newly added file not shown in Import intellisense list #2762
Thanks a lot!!
It’s working ok here too, so I’m closing this bug report.
Ziggy, yeah would be more than happy for just reserved language keywords to be auto-corrected.
Just looking again… I thought that keywords “Class”,”Method” etc was case-sensitive… but no!!! Its “Monk” which converts the keywords.
If I type “met”, I would like Jungle to popup an auto-complete box and allow me to select “method” :)March 4, 2011 at 8:35 am in reply to: FIXED: Wrong STACK end at document .0bb810f6-b446-48fe-ad7a-69c4ebff315a #2358
Just updated to 11.03.03-A and now I get this when I press the Enter key:
Wrong STACK end at document .0bb810f6-b446-48fe-ad7a-69c4ebff315a
I loaded up my source code type: Class Ball Extends Sprite <ENTER>March 4, 2011 at 2:28 pm in reply to: FIXED: Wrong STACK end at document .0bb810f6-b446-48fe-ad7a-69c4ebff315a #2765
That means that the source code has an incomplete code “block”. That’s expected. The message will be removed on non-beta version.
Thanks for reporting!
